Caring for your toothbrush:
Our toothbrush will comfortably last 3 months which is when the British Dental Association recommend you change your toothbrush. All you have to do is store it in a dry place and rinse it after use.
Proper disposal of the packaging:
All toothbrushes are packaged in paper kraft boxes which you can easily recycle. Kraft paper is also 100% natural biomaterial meaning you can also compost it.
Proper disposal of a bamboo toothbrush:
The bamboo handle is 100% compostable and will take less than a few months to safely return to the soil.
To remove the nylon bristles you can either use pliers and use a little bit of force to pull them out or you can saw off the toothbrush head. Of course, you can also up-cycle your old brushes. Head over to our blog to find out 7 clever ways you can do this.

Finally, one that doesn’t go mouldy
I’ve been through Humble Co, Wild & Stone, and Brush with Bamboo. Every single one went mouldy in my bathroom within weeks. Six months into goBambu and the handle still looks brand new. I keep it upright in a holder and let it dry between uses, but I did that with the others too. Something about the finish on this one is just better. Bristles hold their shape as well. Won’t be switching again.

It’s a toothbrush. It works. It’s not plastic.
Not sure what else to say really. It brushes teeth. The handle feels solid, bristles are medium firmness, and I don’t feel guilty chucking it in the compost bin every few months. Does what it says on the tin.

Good brush, but let’s talk about the bristles
The handle is lovely — smooth, comfortable, doesn’t slip when wet. My issue is that the bristles are still nylon. I know that’s the case with basically every bamboo toothbrush on the market, but I wish goBambu would be more upfront about it. You’re reducing plastic, not eliminating it. Knocking a star off for transparency, not quality. The brush itself is genuinely good.

Dentist approved (by me, a dentist)
I recommend these to patients who want an eco-friendly option. The bristle firmness is appropriate for daily use, and the head size is sensible — not too big, not too small. Ultimately I don’t care what the handle’s made of as long as people are brushing properly, but if sustainability motivates someone to maintain a routine, I’m all for it.

The ergonomics are what sold me
Every other bamboo toothbrush I’ve tried feels like brushing your teeth with a chopstick. This one actually has a shaped grip. It’s a small thing but it makes a huge difference when you’re half asleep at 6am. Comfortable, well-made, and the packaging was completely plastic-free. Very happy.

Fine, but not worth the premium
It’s a perfectly adequate toothbrush. But at this price point versus a multipack of plastic brushes, you’re paying a significant premium for what is essentially the same cleaning experience. I get the environmental angle and I respect it, but I can’t pretend the brush itself performs noticeably better than a 50p one from Tesco. Three stars for the product, the other two would be for your conscience.

Subscription is dead easy
Signed up for the subscription about a year ago. New brush lands every three months, always on time, minimal packaging, no fuss. I genuinely forget about it until a little box appears through the letterbox. Exactly how these things should work. One less bit of plastic in the bin every quarter.

Bought the family multipack — everyone’s converted
Got the multipack for the whole household. Even my teenager, who resists literally every sustainable swap I suggest, admitted it “doesn’t feel weird.” High praise from a 14-year-old. The different colour markings make it easy to tell them apart. £1.25 a brush in the pack is very reasonable too.

Handle lasted way longer than expected
Previous bamboo brushes started cracking or getting waterlogged after about six weeks. I’m now on month four with this one (yes, I know I should replace it — I’m getting round to it) and the handle is still in perfect condition. The build quality is noticeably better than competitors.

Great brush, would like more info on sourcing
Really like the brush. Comfortable, durable, nice packaging. Four stars instead of five because the website doesn’t say much about where the bamboo is actually sourced. If it’s shipped from East Asia, that’s a carbon footprint worth acknowledging. I’d love to see goBambu be more transparent about the full supply chain. The product itself is excellent though.

No weird taste
This sounds daft but some bamboo brushes taste… woody? My partner refused to use the last brand we tried because of it. No issue at all with goBambu. Tastes like nothing, which is exactly what you want from a toothbrush. Both of us are happy with it.

Packaging is properly compostable
I’ve been burned before by “compostable” packaging that just sits in my home compost doing absolutely nothing for months. The goBambu box and inner wrap actually broke down in my garden compost within about eight weeks. Finally, a brand that means it when they say compostable. The brush is great too — firm enough without being harsh on gums.

Simple, well-made, no gimmicks
No charcoal-infused bristles, no activated bamboo nonsense, no influencer marketing cringe. Just a well-made toothbrush with a bamboo handle. Refreshing. It does the job, it feels good in the hand, and I can dispose of it without guilt. That’s all I wanted.

Third order now — consistently good
I’ve been ordering these for about nine months now and the quality hasn’t dipped at all. Every brush is the same: solid handle, good bristles, clean packaging. Consistency matters and goBambu deliver it. Also, the name is class.

Switched the whole office
We run a small wellness studio and keep toothbrushes for clients. Switched from plastic disposables to goBambu and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. People actually comment on them, which never happened with the plastic ones. Slightly higher cost per unit but the brand alignment is worth it for us. Bulk ordering was straightforward too.
